Rohit Sharma Received Criticism For An Independence Day Photo That Had An Altered Indian Flag.
Twitter is constantly busy, whether it’s a Sunday or a holiday. Rohit Sharma, the star batter for India, posted a message on Monday commemorating the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence. Even though the cricketer’s message lacked audio, it generated a lot of buzz on the microblogging platform Twitter.
In keeping with his reputation for straightforwardness and simplicity during his pre- and post-match interviews, Sharma, dressed in traditional garb, clutched the Indian tricolour while writing the following in the caption of his photo: “75 years of freedom. स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं”

Sharma neither miscalculated the number of years since independence nor accidentally wished his admirers “Happy Republic Day,” a foolish but typical error.

Fans of cricket were, to put it mildly, amused.
Guy has millions but can't buy a flag and stick

Internet users who saw a flag that was unfurled on top of the building in the institute’s photo released days before Independence Day deluged IIT Bombay’s official Facebook page with remarks.
Naturally, some ridiculed the gesture, and others expressed disappointment.
“It’s great if you don’t put the national flag on your profile picture, but this modified picture you made to claim you’re a patriot is completely false. Sad to see this coming from my university,” said one user. Why was our national flag altered by a prominent institution in our nation? Another inquired. Everyone is aware of how expensive land is in Mumbai these days, thus they can’t afford a spot or piece of land for a flag, one person joked. Another inquired as to whether a Snapchat filter was used to create the flag.
