IPL 2025 Mega Auction : Pant & Iyer Becomes Most Expensive Players in IPL History
Indian wicket keeper Rishabh Pant has broken the record of the most expensive player in IPL within a few minutes. In the IPL mega auction, Rishabh Pant was sold for a total of 27 crore rupees. Rishabh Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for 27 crores. Shreyas Iyer acquired by PBKS for INR 26.75 crore.
Rishabh Pant Becomes Most Expensive Players
Team India’s star wicket keeper Rishabh Pant has created a record in IPL-2025. Rishabh has joined the team for IPL-2025. In the mega auction, a fierce battle has been seen among all the franchisees for Rishabh. He has become the most expensive player in IPL history. Delhi Capitals’ RTM bid to sign him was unsuccessful. However, in the end, LSG has bet in the auction.
Pant has joined the LSG after Delhi Capitals released Rishabh for the upcoming season. Rishabh has been included in the team for IPL-2025 for 27 crore rupees. While most of the teams are involved in the auction to include Rishabh in the team, Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad have seen a tough fight. Finally, Rishabh has joined Lucknow Super Giants team.
Shreyas Iyer Acquired by Punjab Kings
Some time ago Shreyas Iyer became the most expensive player in the history of IPL. But after a few minutes, the star wicket keeper Rishabh Pant broke this record. LSG have included Rishabh in the IPL Mega Auction for Rs 27 Crores.However, the team also got a new captain in the form of Rishabh. This means that Rishabh can be seen as the captain of Super Giants in the next season.
Earlier, India batter Shreyas Iyer shattered Mitchell Starc’s record to become the most expensive player in the history of IPL auction as Punjab Kings acquired the former Kolkata Knight Riders captain for a whopping INR 26.75 crore. Starc was sold to KKR in IPL 2024 auction last December for INR 24.75 crore.
