India Top the World Test Championship Points Table After Historic win Against Australia
India’s hopes of playing in the World Test Championship final for the third time in a row remain alive. On Monday, the team achieved a historic victory by defeating Australia by 295 in Perth. Earlier, the Indian team was defeated by New Zealand 0-3 at home.However, after the historic victory in Perth, the Indian team has occupied the top spot in the World Test Championship points table.
Before the New Zealand series, the Indian team was on top. But after losing the series 0-3, they fell to the second place. Australia reached the top of the points table. Now India has achieved great success by losing to Australia in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Test.

The Indian team has now reached the top with a win percentage of 61.11, while Australia is second with a win percentage of 57.69. Sri Lanka is third with 55.56%, New Zealand is fourth with 54.55% and South Africa is fifth with 54.17%. If India wins the Border Gavaskar Trophy 4-0, the team will qualify for the final. While the first Test ended today, the second Test will begin in Adelaide from December 6.
