- After that, to use your newly registered WhatsApp on a new device, go to the Settings, tap on Chats and then select “Chat backup.“ Then, select a Google account from the list and back up your WhatsApp to Google Drive.
- Now, you can simply remove the new SIM card from the old Android device and insert it into your new phone. Install WhatsApp on your new device and restore the backup as usual.
