Bima Sakhi Yojana: More Than 50 Thousands Women Registered Within a Month; Apply Now Online

The central government is running many schemes for the citizens of the country. In this series, Narendra Modi government launched a scheme for women empowerment named as Bima Sakhi Yojana. This scheme is fully operationalized by LIC. LIC informed on Wednesday that more than 50 thousands women registered within a month of its launch. However, under this scheme, 1 lakh women will be trained as LIC agents for 3 years across the country.

What is LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?

Bima Sakhi Yojana is launched by Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). This scheme has been launched to empower women aged 18 to 70 years who have at least 10th standard education. Special training will be given to women under this scheme. This will enable him to gain experience in financial literacy and insurance awareness.

• During training, Sakhis will get financial assistance of Rs 7000 per month in the first year, Rs 6000 per month in the second year and Rs 5000 per month in the third year. One lakh women across the country will be trained as LIC agents under Bima Sakhi Yojana.
• After training, they will works as an LIC agent. Not only this, Graduate Bima Sakhi will get the opportunity to become Development Officer in LIC. LIC aims to enroll 1,00,000 Bima Sakhis in the next 12 months. There are plans to increase this number to 2,00,000 in the next 3 years.

• From here you have to click on ‘Click here for Bima Sakhi’.
• In the newly opened page, you have to provide information like your name, date of birth, mobile number, email id and address.
• If you are already associated with any LIC Agent, Development Officer, Staff or Medical Examiner, you can also provide information about that.
• Finally fill the captcha code and submit it.
