Big News on LPG Gas Cylinder : Price of a Commercial Cylinder has Decreased
Great news for the common people. From today i.e. February 1, the price of a commercial cylinder has decreased by Rs.7. The reduced price will be applicable only on 19 kg commercial cylinders, while the prices of domestic cylinders remain unchanged. Last month, the largest OMC, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), for the first time in six months, cut the price of a 19 kg cylinder by Rs 14.5 to Rs 16 in metro cities.
Since New Year 2025, the price of LPG in 19 kg cylinder has been decreasing for the second month in a row. The change in LPG prices comes ahead of Budget 2025, which is due on February 1, 2025. The finance minister is expected to change the tax on petroleum products on Saturday. The Finance Minister is keeping an eye on whether to announce any reforms related to LPG or other petroleum products.
Price of a Commercial LPG Cylinder in Different Metro City?
- LPG price in Delhi – In Delhi, the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder has dropped by Rs 7 to Rs 1797, compared to Rs 1804 per cylinder last month.
- LPG price in Kolkata – The city saw a minimum drop of Rs 4, taking the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder to Rs 1,907 per cylinder. In the month of January, its price was 1911 rupees.
- LPG price in Mumbai – The price of 19 kg LPG in Mumbai has decreased by Rs 6.5 to Rs 1749.5 per cylinder since February 2025, while it was priced at Rs 1756 last month.
- LPG price in Chennai – The price of 19 kg LPG also decreased by Rs 6.5 per cylinder to Rs 1959.5 per cylinder, while last month it was priced at Rs 1966 per cylinder.
No Change in the Price of Domestic LPG Cylinder
Talking about domestic cylinders, there has been no change in its price since 1st August 2024. Even in February 2025, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder will be Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.
