The government is going to introduce an annual toll pass. You have to pay only Rs. 3,000 for this pass. Then you can travel on national highways without any hindrance throughout the year. Not only this, you will also have the option of a lifetime pass. For this you have to pay Rs. 30,000 at once and you can drive on the national highway without paying toll for 15 years.

Annual & Lifetime Toll Passes to Travel on National Highways

Central government is going to introduce an annual and lifetime toll pass to travel on national highways without any hindrance. According to the proposal of the central government, passengers will get the facility of commuting through an annual toll pass for just Rs 3,000. Similarly, lifetime toll pass for 15 years will be available for Rs.30,000. Lakhs of passengers traveling on national highways will be directly benefited after the implementation of this scheme and the crowd at the toll plaza will also be reduced.

According to the report, this proposal is in the final stage with the Ministry of Road Transport. Taking this into account, the ministry is considering to reduce the toll rate per km for cars. This will provide peace of mind to the people traveling on the highway.There is no need to purchase any new card for this new pass, it will be linked to FASTAG.
