ATM Facilities on Moving Trains
For the first time, ATMs will be installed in a running train in the country. Now, on a trial basis, this special facility has been started in the AC coach of the Panchbati Express running between Nashik’s Manmad and Mumbai.
According to Bhusawal DRM, the initial results of this special facility are good. Now people can withdraw money even on moving trains. The performance of the machines will be continuously monitored, as there are some difficulties in withdrawing money at many places where there are network issues.The ATM on the train is a Bank of Maharashtra ATM. ATM facilities have been started on the train under a partnership between the Bhusawal Division of the Railways and Bank of Maharashtra.
Railway officials said that if the on-board ATM service receives a good response from passengers, it can be implemented in other major trains in the country as well. Passengers will directly benefit from this. Passengers no longer have to stop at any station to withdraw money. They can withdraw money from ATMs on the train during their journey, making their journey even more convenient.
