Border-Gavaskar Trophy: India’s Big Win Against Australia
Team India has achieved a huge victory against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Kangaroos were defeated by 295 runs on home soil. As a result, India is leading 1-0 in this Test series.
The first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was played in Perth, Australia. In this match India won the toss and chose to bat first but gave a disappointing performance. The team was all out for just 150 runs in the first innings. After this performance humiliating defeat was expected but the bowler created a buzz of hope. Indian bowler made the home team all out for 104 runs in the first innings. In this, Jasprit Bumrah got 5 wickets, while Nitish Reddy got 3 wickets and Mohammad Siraj got 2 wickets.
Indian Batter’s Amazing Performance in the Second Innings
Indian batter showed magic in the second innings. Star opener Yashshwi Jaiswal played a big innings of 161 runs. KL Rahul, who opened with him, also scored 77 runs, while Virat Kohli remained unbeaten and played a century. Among others, Nitish Reddy scored 38 (not out), Washington Sundar 29, Devdatta Padikal 25 and Rishabh Pant and Dhrub Jurel were dismissed with one run each respectively.
Team India has won the First Test by 295 runs
Team India announced their innings by scoring 487 runs for 6 wickets. As a result, the Kangaroos faced a target of 534 runs. Even in the second innings, the Kangaroo forces could not face the Indian bowlers. Australia lost the first wicket while the team did not open the account. By the time the stumps were removed on the third day, Australia had collected 12 runs in three wickets.
