Fastag New Updates: New Rules will Start from Today
The government has launched FASTAG, an automated toll tax system at tollgates, to facilitate travel on national highways and prioritize time saving for motorists. Currently, the government is aware of various problems in this platform and the new law is going to be implemented from Monday (2025 February 17).
In particular, Fastagar is going to impose additional charges on beneficiaries in this new rule. Because the beneficiaries do not follow the rules of the platform to properly use the platform and the required funds or low balance. Similarly, additional charges will be levied in various facilities like late fee and blacklisted account. It has been said that a detailed notification will be issued by the National Payments Corporation of India or NPCI and the Ministry of National Road Transport and Highways.
