Google Play Store May Spying on you! How to Stop it?

1. Change the ‘App installed optimization’ Settings

• Open Google Play Store on your Android phone.
• At the upper right corner of the screen you will see your profile icon, tap on that and a menu will open.
• Scroll down through the menu and tap on ‘Settings.’
• From the settings page, tap on the first option ‘General’ and general settings will open.
• Here, you can find the option ‘App installed optimization.’ This feature sends information to developer about what you do in your application on the phone. Since, this feature runs in the background, it slows down your phone, drains battery faster and also spying on you. You need to disable this option.
• Disable the ‘App installed optimization’ by toggle of the switch.

2. Change the ‘Play Protect’ Settings

• Open Play Store on your Android.
• Tap on your profile icon present at the top right corner of the screen, a Menu will open.
• Scroll down through the Menu and tap on ‘Play Protect.’
• A new page will open, where you will tap on the gear icon (Settings) present at the top right corner of the screen.
• On Play protect settings page you will see the two options under General section.
• The first option is ‘Scan apps with Play Protect’, when you enable this feature it will scan your phone to find malicious application and inform you about them. This is very helpful and useful feature, so it should be enabled.
• The second option is ‘Improve harmful app detection’ and it collects information about which application you are using in your phone and sends this information direct to the developers, so you need to disable this option to stop your Play Store from Spying on you.
