How to activate UPI using Aadhaar without an ATM card for registration?
For UPI registration, a debit card is required. Only after debit card OTP authentication are you able to use this service. However, you can now utilise UPI without a debit card (ATM). This process has been made easier by PhonePe, an online payment software, which offers the option of UPI enrollment with an Aadhaar card. The PhonePe app now allows new users to activate UPI using an Aadhaar card and an OTP. because your Aadhaar card and bank account are connected. How does UPI work?
UPI, or Unified Payments Interface, is its full name. With the use of a mobile platform, it is a real-time payment system that enables quick money transfers between two bank accounts. Through UPI, one mobile application can access numerous bank accounts. It was developed by the National Payments Corporation, which the Reserve Bank and the Indian Banks Association jointly supervise.
How to activate UPI through Aadhaar?
Existing UPI users who want to utilise their Aadhaar card on the PhonePe app must provide the last six digits of their Aadhaar number. Following that, both your bank and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will provide you an OTP. Your UPI will be enabled in this manner. After that, you can use the PhonePe app to send money from UPI to anyone.

- Install the Phone Pe app first on your smartphone.
- You will need to input your phone number and OTP when you first use the app.
- After there, click Payment Methods under My Money.
- Then select the bank where you have an account by clicking on “Add new bank account.”
- Your mobile number will be validated right here.
- You now have two choices for setting up your UPI PIN.
- Debit/ATM cards or Aadhaar cards are both available here.
- The OTP will be sent to your registered cellphone number after you enter the final six digits of your Aadhaar number here.
- As soon as you enter the OTP, your UPI PIN will become active. You can now utilise all of its functions.
