How to Block Contacts on WhatsApp?
Method 1
- Open your WhatsApp app on your mobile.
- Tap on the ‘Chats’ option present on the bottom left corner of the screen in order to go to the chat section.
- Select a chat of a person which you want to block, tap on it to open that chat.
- When the chat opens, you need to tap on the name of that person to open the contact info page of that person.
- On the contact info page you need to scroll down where you will see the option to block that person.
- Tap on ‘Block (name)’ and then tap on Block again to confirm that.
Method 2
The second way to block someone is to do it by specifically searching for their name if you don’t have chat with them.
- Open the WhatsApp app on your mobile.
- Go to the ‘Chats’ section present at bottom left corner of the screen.
- On the chat screen, tap on the three dots icon present at the top right corner of the and a drop-down Menu will open.
- From Menu select the option ‘Settings’ and WhatsApp settings page will open.
- Here, you need to find and tap on the option ‘Privacy’, tap to open it.
- On Privacy page you need to find and tap on the option ‘Blocked’, tap on it and this will take you to the lists of blocked contacts where you can add someone by tapping on the option ‘Add new.’
- When the list with your contacts pop-up from below, simply find and tap on the contact that you want to block.
- You can also use the Search bar to search for a specific contacts.
Method 3
The last method is the fastest option to block someone on your WhatsApp.
- First open your WhatsApp app and go to the Chats section.
- Select the chat of a person which you want to block.
- Then, simply swipe from right to left and now tap on the option ‘More’.
- When a menu Pop-ups, tap on the option ‘Block’ and that person will be blocked.
How to Unblock Contacts?
In case if you are change your mind and want to unblock the contacts, then simply tap on their name and go to the bottom of the screen. and tap on the option ‘unblock’. That contacy will then remove from your block list.
