On your iOS device, you can also turn on and off the Safari pop-up blocker.
- From the home screen of iOS, tap on Settings.
- Open Settings, scroll down and tap on ‘Safari.’
- In the Safari screen, under General section, you will see the option ‘Block Pop-ups.’
- Right side of the ‘Block Pop-ups’, you will see the toggle switch.
- Tap on the toggle switch to turn it on or off. Switch turns green to indicate that Safari is blocking pop-ups.
- Other ways to enable or disable the pop-up blocker in Safari is to select Preferences, then select Security and Block pop-up windows.
You might need to disable the pop-up blocker for access to some sites. Alternatively, you can also install plug-ins that suppress tracking and pop-ups for individual sites and browsing sessions.
