How to Create a YouTube Channel?

• When your Google account is created, next you can visit the YouTube’s website and sign in.
• At the upper right corner of the screen you will see your profile image, tap on that and select the Settings option.
• Below the Your Channel option, you will see the Create a new channel option, click on that.
• If you already have a YouTube channel, you will be able to see the other options Add or manage your channel(s).
• To set up new channel, you have to click on Create a New Channel option, then enter your channel name. The name of your channel should represent your brand.
• After entering your channel name, you need to add your phone number to verify your account. To get the verification code, you have to select whether you want it through SMS or a voice call, and then click on Continue.
• After getting the verification code through your prefer medium, enter the code and then click on Continue.
• When your account is verified, you’ll be taken to the dashboard of your channel, where you can customizing it.

Customize Channel page

From your channel dashboard, you can click on “Customize channel” and you will be taken to your channel customization page.

In customization page, you will see three tabs: “Layout,” “Branding,” and “Basic info.” Through these options you optimize your channel for your viewers.

Add Branding Elements

In Branding section, you can add the Visual element of customization for a new YouTube channel.

Under the “Branding” tab, you can add your profile picture, banner image, and video watermark.

• Profile Picture

Profile pictures of a YouTube channel help users to identify the creator of a video when browsing video content. The image appear below the YouTube videos on the play page. YouTube recommends to use the picture for profile with dimensions of at least 98 x 98 pixels.

• Banner Image

Banner Image is the opportunity for the youtubers to convey their brand to their viewers. It is the large banner that displayed at the top of your channel page. YouTube recommends use the image for banner at least 2048 x 1152 px and 6MB or less.

• Video Watermark

The video watermark is the logo of your YouTube channel that displayed at the bottom right corner of every video you have post. You should choose a logo that best represents your channel and size atleast 150 x 150 px.

Add Basic Info for Discoverability

In Basic Info tab, you can add basic information of your channel to discover to the more people.

You can click on “Basic info” tab at the top. Here you have to enter some basic information about your channel, like in which language your videos are in, enter a description of your channel that can help people to discover your channel when they enter search terms that describe what they looking for.
