- After that a confirmation message appears, to confirm your action, tap on Continue.
- If both accounts share the same login password, then you will be required to change one of your login passwords.
Unlink Facebook and Instagram From Instagram App
- To remove your facebook account from instagram, first open your Instagram application on your mobile phone.
- Go to your profile by tapping on your profile icon at the bottom right corner.
- Once you are on your profile page, tap on the 3 horizontal line Menu icon present at the top right corner.
- The Menu will open. From menu find and select the the Settings option.
- In that settings menu, scroll down and find the Account Centre, tap to open it. You will see lists of account linked to your instagram account.
- From the lists of accounts find your facebook account and from the left side of your facebook account name, tap on Remove option to disconnect your facebook account from instagram.
- From here, tap on ‘ Remove Account ‘ to unlock your facebook account on instagram.
- Confirm your decision of remove your facebook account by tapping the Continue button at the bottom of the screen.
- Once confirm, instagram will prompt you with final confirmation message.
- Tap on Yes, Remove your account name to finalize the removal process.
Once you remove your facebook account from instagram, it will not delete your facebook account itself. It simply removes the connection between the 2 platforms by unlinking them.
