PAN Card

PAN card is linked to bank account.Therefore, all accounts of the deceased should be transferred to another person’s name or closed before surrendering the PAN card. Unlike the Aadhaar card, there is no procedure for canceling or depositing a passport. But each passport is valid only for a certain period of time, after which it expires. Therefore, family members should keep the passport of the deceased until its validity expires, so that no one can misuse it.

Driving License

Each state has different rules for issuing and canceling a driver’s license. While there is no central system for surrendering a deceased person’s license, heirs can contact the Regional Transport Office (RTO) for specific procedures. Also can process the transfer of ownership of any vehicle registered in the name of the deceased.
