Good news for gas cylinder customers. If you have gas connection then Rs 3600 will come to your account. Good news for those who buy LPG cylinders under PM Ujjwala Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the government is providing LPG cylinders at a discounted price to the poor.

Beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana will Get Rs 3600

The Central Government is providing a subsidy of Rs 300 on 14 liters LPG cylinders available under this scheme. If one books 12 cylinders in a year, he will get Rs 3600 for each of Rs 300. What is Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana?

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is a central government scheme. It was launched by PM Modi in 2016. Under this scheme, people living below poverty line are given gas connection. Currently, the number of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana across the country is 9.6 crore. Due to this, 9.6 crore people of the country are directly benefiting from the increase in subsidy.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant should be an Indian citizen
  • Age must be above Should 18 years of age.
  • Applicant should be a woman from a BPL family who doesn’t have any LPG connection.
  • Applicant should not be getting any benefit under other similar schemes.
  • Applicant should be included in the list of SECC 2011 or BPL households under SC/ST households, PMAY (Gramin), AAY, Most Backward Classes (MBC), forest dwellers, people residing in river islands or Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Tribes.

  • To apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, first you have to collect the application form your nearest LPG distributor or you can download it online from its official website at www.pmuy.gov.in.
  • Fill the application form and submit it to the LPG distributor office along with the necessary documents.
  • After submission of the application, it will be processed.
  • Once the documents are verified and eligibility is checked. LPG connection will be issued by different oil marketing companies.

Online

  • The easiest way to apply for PM Ujjwala Yojana to get LPG subsidy is to visit the official website of the gas company.
  • HP Gas, Bharat Gas, Indian Oil: The application process is the same on the websites of these three gas companies.
  • Login to your customer portal and fill in Aadhaar and bank account details.
  • In the application form, information like gas agency name, LPG connection number, Aadhaar number and bank account details have to be provided. After filling all the information, submit the form.
  • After linking your bank account with LPG connection, your subsidy will be directly transferred to your bank account.

The subsidy amount is shown as a residual on the base price of the cylinder. This subsidy is paid every time the cylinder is refilled. If your annual income exceeds the limit set by the government, you will not get this subsidy.

If you are not getting LPG cylinder subsidy money, contact the gas agency immediately. Call the gas company’s helpline. And check your subsidy status. You can check subsidy status using internet banking or mobile banking. If your subsidy stops for any technical reason, complain to the gas agency.
