The final list of players to be included in the IPL Mega Auction has been released today. There are a total of 574 players in the final list issued by the Governing Council of IPL.
Players Who Join the Auction this Time
Indian cricket team star Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and Mohammed Shami will join the auction this time. They are listed in Marquee list. While Pant and Iyer are on Marquee List 1, Rahul and Shami are the star players on second list. Players like Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer will not be seen in the IPL this time, their names are not in the auction.
Two Days Auction
The auction will continue for two days on November 24 and 25. It will start at 3 pm Indian time. A total of 1574 players registered for the auctio, among them were 1,655 Indian and 409 are foreign players.
Number of Capped and Uncapped Player
Similarly, the number of capped players was 320, the number of uncapped players was 1224 and the number of associate country players was 30. After counting all the names, 574 players have joined the auction. Among them there are 366 Indian and 208 foreign players. Three of these foreigners are players from associate countries. Similarly, the final list includes 318 Indian uncapped players and 12 foreign uncapped players. Out of 574 players, at most 204 can be sold. There can be 70 foreign players among them.
Base Price of the Star Players
There are 81 players in the highest base price i.e. Rs 2 crore bracket. The base price of 3 former captains Rushav Pant, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer released by their respective franchises is Rs 2 crore. Similarly, the two spinners released by Rajasthan, Ravi Ashwin and Yuji Chahal, are also in the base price bracket of Rs 2 crore. Most importantly, England’s fast bowler James Anderson, who has retired from international cricket, has joined the IPL auction for the first time.His base price is Rs 1.25 crore.
