JioTunes offers a free caller tunes service, which you can activate without any charge. Jio is one of the most preferred network operators these days. The company offers a range of services including prepaid, postpaid, broadband and others across the country. If you are using a Jio SIM, then you can set caller tune for free. Go through this article and know the four different ways of set caller tune on Jio.
How To Set Caller Tunes on Jio?
1. Set Caller Tune Using MyJio App
- Download the MyJio application from Google Play Store or Apple App Store and install it to your smartphone.
- Log into the app and then click on the Menu present at the top-left corner of the screen.
- From Menu, select JioTunes options.
- Go to the Songs tab and search for your favourite JioTune or you can pick one song from the listed songs. You can choose the caller tune from a variety of genres.
- Tap the play button below to listen to the preview.
- Then click on Set as JioTune and a you will get the confirmation once your request is submitted successfully.
2. Set Caller Tune in Jio Using Jio Saavn App
- Download the Jio Saavn Music app on your android or iOS smartphone.
- Open the app and log in to the app using your My Jio account credentials.
- If you already have the app, then directly open the app and list of songs will appear on the screen.
- Search for the song, that you want to set as your Jio Tune and select it.
- On the new page, click on Three dots and amanu will appear, tap on “Set as Jio Tune”.
- A pop up appear, you can tap on the Play icon to preview the JioTune.
- If you are ok with the song, set the selected song as your JioTune and tap on Set JioTune.
- After that you will get the activation confirmation message on your mobile from Jio.
3. Set Jio Caller Tune with SMS
- SMS is a traditional way to set caller tune and in Jio you can get the option to set caller tune by sending an SMS to 56789.
- You can send an SMS with the first 3 words of the song/film/album of your choice to 56789.
- You will receive an SMS with the list of songs matching to your input along with instructions on how to set the song of your choice as your JioTune.
- You can also SMS “JT” to 56789 and follow the instructions.
Type the Movie name and send it to 56789
Album name and send it to 56789
Singers name and send it to 56789
- Once you have sent the message, Jio will send you a message to seek confirmation from you. You just have to send a reply with “Y” and Jio will send a confirmation message to you.
4. Set Caller Tune Using Star (*) Button
In Jio you can also get the option to copy your someone else’s caller tune.
- Call the number you want to copy the tune.
- Then, you need to press the star (*) button.
- After that Jio will send you a consent message for confirmation.
- You have to confirm the text reply by sending “Y” with in 30 minutes and the caller tune will be activated on your jio number.
How To Deactivate caller tune on Jio?
If you want to deactivate the jio caller tune, then you can do that either by SMS or through My Jio app.
Deactivate Through My Jio app
- Open the My Jio app on your smartphone.
- Select the JioTunes option from the Menu.
- On the My Subscriptions page, bottom of the screen you will see the option ‘Deactivate JioTune’ tap on that.
- Then, tap on ‘Yes’ to confirm the deactivation of the JioTunes and your selected JioTunes will be deactivated.
Deactivate Through SMS
- You can also deactivate Jio caller tune through SMS and for that open the messaging app on your smartphone.
- Then, type ‘STOP’ and send it to 56789.
- Reply with ‘1’ to confirm the deactivation.
- Once you are done, you will get a confirmation message that your JioTunes have been deactivated.
