Great news for flight passengers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday issued some guidelines related to all air passengers. Now whenever you book a flight, you will receive a message via SMS or WhatsApp. It will provide all the information about your rights and benefits.
New Guidelines Related to All Air Passengers
As per the DGCA guidelines, all airlines have to make it clear that the online link of the passenger charter available on the website of the Ministry of Civil Aviation will have to be sent via SMS or WhatsApp at the time of booking the ticket. This link will provide all the information related to passenger rights, rules and grievance redressal.
The DGCA has also said that the requirement of information related to passenger rights should also be given on the airline’s website and ticket. It will contain all the information about what the flight passenger has to do to get a refund in case of flight delay or cancellation, rules related to baggage. In this, the flight passenger can solve all his problems.
