On January 27, the beta test phase of the direct-to-cell phone service will begin, Elon Musk announced on the social media platform ‘X’.

Starlink’s service will provide users with telecom services directly from space. Now, the trial of this service is about to begin. This service will be of great help to internet users in remote areas. Also, it will be a big step in mobile connectivity. Because this service will reduce reliance on land-based cell towers and bring a new revolution in communication.

Router Connects Directly to the Satellite

It is not possible to have towers everywhere, due to which users in remote areas constantly face problems with internet connectivity. Starlink provides a Wi-Fi router, power supply, cable and a mounting tripod for its service. Users will be able to use services like SMS, calling and internet anywhere. This router connects directly to the satellite. In simple words, this service of ‘Starlink’ can also be called a cell tower present in space. Starlink satellite internet service is already available. It was used in Ukraine during the Ukraine-Russia war.
